About Grace

I'd describe my personality as personable, empathetic, and genuine. I like tutoring because I enjoy working one on one with students, and seeing them slowly gain in knowledge and confidence. I'm looking for a job that can be a source of modest income, and can provide more experience in tutoring. I started tutoring when I was an undergrad in college! I tutored peers and students younger than I in French. Most recently, I worked as a tutor for students with ADA accommodations. In my spare time, I like to read, write, journal, listen to music, and enjoy art in its various forms. One thing you should know about me is that I try my best to establish a personal connection with my student so that they feel comfortable with me. It can be embarrassing sometimes when you don't understand a concept, and I want students to feel at ease if they need to ask more questions. My skills include time management aid, coaching in writing style, and helping with reading comprehension.
