About Grace

Hi everyone! My name is Grace, and I am a 24-year-old living in Manhattan looking for part-time work. I am available to help with basic tutoring and homework assistance. I am passionate about helping students find the best ways that they can focus and really engage with what material they are learning (even when it is boring!). When working with kids I have a lot of patience and compassion because I was once in their shoes. When tutoring I prioritize how each individual learns best, not the way that they "should" be learning. I aim to help children find ways of connecting and get excited about what they are learning about. And if something doesn't work, or if they get an answer wrong, THAT IS OKAY - we will just try again, or brainstorm "how else can we approach this?" I think it is extremely important to empower all different types of thinkers and learners and encourage students to feel confident in their academic abilities (even when struggles arise).
