Ever since I was a kid I have always been surrounded by children. When I lived in Colombia I took care of my neighbor's new baby. Before motherhood, I also babysat my nephews and nieces. Then I also took care of children from different friends, their ages ranged from newborn to 6 years old. I worked as a interior decorator in Colombia and then as a Goldsmith in Maryland. There I would casually babysit my best friend's children who where twins. All the sudden I found myself working with all her family's children then moving on to a full time Nanny this being the real start of my nanny career. Here in Charlottesville, I have worked as a nanny for few children. An only child who was 1-year-old and lastly to beautiful twins. I have been their Nanny since they were newborn babies and now they are 5 years old. This is my current job. I enjoyed the outdoors with the twins and also teaching them Spanish. We had different Arts and crafts projects over the years. They are now bilingual children and they will have a more intense schedule at school in September. They will need my assistance much less by then

Gloria set the bar - for child care for our now 2.5 year old son - extremely high. I am not sure what we would have done without her in our lives for the first 16 months of our child's life. We are thrilled she is still in our lives, watching our son as often as we can have her come! She brings so much love, energy, and happiness into our home and each day, immediately picks up on what he needs and even, or especially, what I need. I - as a new mom, at the time - learned so much from her regarding overall care of my infant turned toddler: feeding, sleeping, tuning into his needs, showing him the world (on daily long walks, tons of time outside even in our yard, etc) and how to explore it, and learning Spanish! - and every day that I'd/I return, the whole entire house just felt like it was in a very healthy place. She listened intently to all of our preferences but also never hesitated to helpfully take charge when and where it was clear we needed it, within minutes of arrival.
