About Gloria
Experience: 10 yrs
For 9 years I cared for babies in my home, and for the past 4 years I have used my love, compassion and gentle understanding to care for the elderly who are incapable of caring for themselves. It is never a "job" to me, but a mission. I have helped raise many, many babies--each becoming a part of my life and my heart. There is such wonderment and beauty in each new little person and I delight in the day-to-day interaction with each one of them. I have a long list of happy references, I am dependable in every sense. I am energetic, gentle, soft-spoken and very understanding. My goal is to encourage self-esteem, a strong sense of security and love, and optimum care. I am very organized, neat and scheduled. I am much more than a caregiver because my heart goes fully into all that I do. I am open to companion care or baby care. There is fulfillment and delight in either position and I simply want to spend my days giving to those who need me.

Gloria is taking care of our 5 month old daughter. She's been keeping her since I returned to work after maternity leave. I simply couldn't stand to leave my baby in the daycare centers I've seen. Gloria treats each child like a person, not a job. Gloria currently keeps 3 other little boys, ages one to two. I can tell how Gloria treats and guides the kids by watching them interact with each other. They are all very kind and sweet to each other. All the boys call Gloria "Grammy". I also watch how all the boys listen and respond to Gloria. She has a way of guiding and directing them on what to do and what not to do that is firm and kind at the same time. She also keeps close track of each child's feeding, napping, and changing schedule. I love that our baby girl spends her day in a HOME with sweet little friends and "Grammy", rather than an impersonal daycare center with paid by the hour employees. I highly recommend her for anyone wanting personal care for their child.
