Hi, my name is Giuliana! I'm a recent graduate from the University of San Francisco and a current intern at KQED who's looking for part-time tutoring and childcare opportunities. Starting at age 14, I regularly babysat my neighbor's 4 kids who were between the ages of 4-10 years old. This is when I first discovered my knack for communicating with kids and how much I loved helping them with their homework. When I got to college, I continued my childcare journey by working as a tutor for USF's Engage SF Literacy program. As tutors, we assisted K-8 students with their homework and reading development. Working as a tutor online during the pandemic allowed me to develop a solid toolkit for engaging kids in a virtual tutoring setting. I am currently working on getting CPR certified and I would be happy to help out with cooking, cleaning, and other household tasks as needed.
