About Gillian

Hello! I recently graduated from NYU and have tutored elementary to high school math for three years virtually. I love using real-world examples, interactive problems, and engaging videos to teach difficult analytical topics in various media forms. Typically, we meet twice a week, where I send a link and we each join and I use an iPad as well to write out engaging work problems or break down topics in a clear and concise manner. As I learn more about each student, I love to incorporate parts of their lives into our classroom to help make these "scary" subjects seem more approachable and fun. I also like to use resources like Khan Academy and reliable videos to teach students about helpful online tools. I graduated cum laude and completed my honors degree with a thesis using open-source data and R studio to run regression analysis.
