I have known Gigi for almost 7 years, first as an employee at the memory care unit my mother was on and then as my mother’s personal caregiver for the final year of her life. Gigi prides herself on being a conscientious and skilled professional. I was always confident that a change in my mom’s condition would be noticed. She was quick to let me know if something had changed, if I should be concerned about it, and what, if anything, I needed to do. Gigi always acted from a place of kindness. You could see it in the way she smiled at my mom, gave her a soothing touch, and talked sweetly to her. On a personal level, I always enjoyed my time talking to Gigi as she was genuinely interested in hearing about my mom as a person before Alzheimer’s. Gigi would send funny photos and share light moments she’d have with my mom. My family and I can not express enough how lucky we are to have had Gigi with us on this journey. She cares about the people she works with and she cares about excelling at her job. She is a talented caregiver and will be an irreplaceable member of the team working with your loved one.
