About Genie

I have tutored all ages mainly reading and math. I have worked as private tutor with ages 4-10, but I have also worked in a college library tutoring adult students in math, reading and writing. Any math beyond algebra would not be my expertise. I love working one on one to assist people with reading and math. I use phonics when needed and manipulative for real world math examples. I can provide my own supplies once I know specific target areas for lessons. I'd be happy to meet at your home or at a park or other public place. I can bring books, paper, pencil, erasers and manipulative to go with lessons. I am trained as an English as a second language teacher as well. I have three children of my own which I tutored from a young age. Two of them were valedictorians at their high school. The 3rd child is still in school. I currently work as an elementary librarian, but I tutored privately after school each day before covid-19. I miss teaching and would love the chance to help your student.
