About Gelila

I'm a rising sophomore at UPenn, majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. I have experience caring for children of different ages and enjoy creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for them. I previously worked in my school's after-school program, where I helped supervise and care for groups of up to 10 kids, ranging from Pre-K to 5th grade, alongside another staff member. I also have babysitting experience with family friends and have been teaching Amharic in my church's Sunday school program for over four years, which has given me extensive experience working with children and adapting to different ages. In addition, my experience as a hostess, along with my leadership roles throughout academics, has helped me develop responsibility, patience, and problem-solving skills. I'm dependable, organized, and committed to ensuring the children I care for are taken care of, engaged, and happy.
