About Gary

I am offering my services of a dog walker, a drop-in & overnight caregiver and a dog trainer and also transporting safely dogs to the vet and back or wherever they need to be. I'm available to work weekends and holidays. I became a certified dog trainer for PetSmart after I retired from a 34 year career with the Los Angeles Police. Starting in 2011 I've purchased and studied training videos and books by Dr. Ian Dunbar, Dr. Stanley Coren, Karen Pryor, Jean Donaldson, Cesar Millan, Patricia McConnell, Clive D. L. Wynne and others. I also listen to podcasts and subscribe to various YouTube dog training channels and have collected videos focusing on dog training by breed and other aspects of training such as housebreaking, fear and aggression towards people and other dogs, puppy training, crate training, reactivity issues, barking, impulse control and other undesired behaviors. I am personable, trustworthy, well spoken, and good with dogs (and cats) and your dogs are good with me.
