About Garret

Hello! I am a nursing student enrolled in the accelerated second-degree program at MSOE and will graduate in December 2023. In 2018, I obtained a BS in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Psyc from UWyo. My career goal is to become a pediatric nurse or work on public health initiatives. I am responsible and trustworthy. I possess diverse experiences that I think would make me an excellent sitter. From 2018-2020, I was in the Peace Corps in N. Macedonia as a special needs volunteer in 6 preschools. My responsibilities included working with children with special needs developmental delays, and collaborating with teachers to improve student outcomes and teaching methodologies. In college, I worked as a teacher aide and assistant teacher at the Uwyo Early Care and Education Center, gaining experience working with preschool and toddler-age children. Additionally, I was a camp counselor for a cabin of 9-yr olds and taught swim lessons for 5 yrs before that.
