About Gabriela

Hello! My name is Gaby, or as my students call me, Mrs. S. I have been a certified teacher for 7 years and a classroom aid for 3 years before that as well as a preschool teacher during my college years. I have a lot of experience working with higher levels of language learning but I have also worked in collaborative classrooms focused on learning disabilities, which means I've worked with many different levels of language access. I am patient, reliable, and I strive to make a personal connection with each student in order to provide a positive learning experience. I like tutoring because it provides me a space to connect with students and help them achieve their goals. I started tutoring when I became a widowed mom of three for extra income. In my spare time, I like to listen to music, write, read, and play video games with my kids. My skills include creating lessons, time management, interpersonal interactions, and providing personalized lessons.
