In 2009, I moved from Panama to the United States through the Au Pair program and began my experience in care giving. After 2 years as a live in nanny taking care of a girl age 2-4 and a large dog, I completed the program and moved back to Panama. There, I took care of age 4 triplets (2 girls, 1 boy) full-time for a month in fall 2011. For 3 months in Spring 2012, I took care of a 3-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl full-time and including travel. Since then, I have moved back to the United States and am looking to work as a caregiver full or part-time. I will take care of children anywhere from newborn to 5 years old. I am fluent in Spanish and English. I am peaceful and fun, and am looked up to by the children I've cared for. My most recent full-time job in South Jersey involved caring for a boy. When we weren't at music class, gym class, the playground, and story time at the library, we did crafts at home including painting, drawing, learning games and activities. Other places included the zoo, farms, aquarium, and the beach. I'm often looking for neat activities to do with him. I taught him Spanish, and he now knows how to count from 1 to 20 and say basic household phrases, in addition to the English alphabet. I taught him to have independence; he now cleans up his toys after playing. I also helped to potty train him. Aside from caring for the boy, I went shopping for the family and did errands, and even brought them my own flower arrangements. It was a pleasure working with the family, and I plan to make as good an impact in other children's lives.
