My "teaching nanny" approach implements Montessori + 'Love and Logic' principles - encouraging children to explore the world while developing helpful life skills. I strongly encourage emotional intelligence, good communication, academic curiosity, deductive reasoning, creativity, empathy, manners and age-appropriate responsibility. I'm also very comfortable following a school-provided curriculum/homework load. My goal is for every child to feel truly cherished, safe, and happy, while setting them up for success in life. I'm a certified childcare provider, and have been trained in infant and child CPR (although I need to update my certification, which I'm more than happy to do). Flora is a kind, compassionate and wonderful caregiver who has the strong skills and abilities to support children of all ages. She's cared our 7 and 2.5 year old, providing appropriate level care and play, during a very stressful time and we had no reservations or concerns about our children in her care. Our kids love when she's with them and miss her when she's not around. A true testament! Any family would be fortunate to have her care for their children. Besides her strong skills in caring for children, she also is just an amazing human being!
