About Firdows

I'd describe my personality as nurturing, curious, and adventurous. I like working with kids because I find that there's always something to learn from children. I personally have six younger siblings and I enjoy cultivating meaningful relationships with each of them and being a beacon for them as they reach new milestones. I started working with kids when I was in high school. I worked with kids in daycare, tutoring, and mental and behavioral health settings. In each of those roles, I received amazing feedback from colleagues and parents about my work with the kids and my impact. I keep in touch with all of the families I've worked with. In my spare time, I like to exercise, cook, and learn languages. I play tennis often. My main interests are cooking and baking. In the summer, I visit the farmers market every week to see what my favorite vendors are growing. I love cooking dishes from around the world. I speak English, Arabic, and Somali. Currently, I'm learning Italian.
