Fifita is the best caregiver you will ever find! I could write a whole essay and not be able to express how much gratitude I have for her. She, in so many ways, restored my mom’s health, safety and happiness. When she first started working for us, my mom could barely stand, as she had a fractured spine. Her dementia was getting steadily worse, and she was struggling to remember so many basic things. She wasn’t eating enough, was falling quite a bit, was weak and confused and her apartment was in bad shape. I’m disabled and can’t help my mom physically, so it’s been so hard to watch her deteriorate. I was feeling so helpless and finally started looking for a caregiver. We used another service before we went on Care.com, and after a few days realized that the employee was not working out. The caregiver was encountering pretty strong resistance from my mom. She wouldn’t let them clean her, dress her, or clean her apartment. The caregiver was so frustrated and she and my mom started having arguments with each other. She wasn’t getting any care because she would not allow that person to help her. So we decided to try a new caregiver. That is when we found Fifita on Care. She is so kind and caring that within a day she had given my mom a shower, cleaned the apartment top to bottom, washed her laundry and styled her hair. My mom actually responded to her. She managed, through being kind and consistent, to convince my mom to take her help. And that was just the first week. I swear she helped rehabilitate my mom’s body. She offered physical and emotional support and worked w her walking short distances. After 2 months, my mom who right before she met Fifita, could barely stand, started walking again. She got her out so that she could visit her friends. She gave her companionship and helped her get her sense of humor back. She told my mom on a regular basis that she loved her and my mom (who is not a very open or demonstrative person) adored her. It was the best thing that has happened to my family in years. My mom’s memory even started improving because of the regular conversations and care. I will forever be grateful to her for what she did for my mom. She made her life so much better. It was nothing short of a miracle. If I could give Fifita a hundred stars, I would. She will change your loved one’s life. She is a wonderful caregiver, and an amazing person.
