Kind, compassionate and patient caregiver looking to improve the quality of life and help preserve the dignity of others. I've been a personal care/home health aide for many seniors ranging from their 60's-90's, all with various needs and impairments such as dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, and those who were wheelchair and/or bed-bound. As an old soul and nurturer, I'm able to easily connect with the senior population. I am deeply passionate and knowledgeable about caregiving, social work and mental health issues. I've helped with activities of daily life such as dressing, bathing, meal prep, hygiene, incontinence issues, toileting, med prompting and admin, mobility assistance, PT and OT, physical and mental activity, providing companionship and housekeeping. Other relevant work: Nursing home; psychosocial day support center for adults with mental, physical, developmental, cognitive, and intellectual disabilities; home visits to consumers of medicare; aide to clients in rehab & hospitals
