About Evangelia

Hi! I believe that teaching is not only about instructing people on how to do any skill, it is also about cultivating a mindset toward personal growth and development. I focus on the whole person always keeping in mind the social, emotional, and individual learning needs of each person under my care. While obtaining my M. Ed, I received a thorough training in best educational practices, assessment and intervention, differentiated instruction, ABA, exceptional needs, and the psychology of motivation. As of 2009, I have worked with individuals of all ages and I have an extensive background working with children. My teaching philosophy is to meet each student where they are in their learning and development. I aim to foster self-reflection and to build self-efficacy. I respect that learners may feel vulnerable when working on skills that are challenging to them and I strive to build a strong rapport and to encourage curiosity and engagement. Their success is my success!
