About Evan

After a decade as a professional educator, I'm opting to swap the institutional setting for something more friendly. I've been with all ages, from infancy through high school. I'm also an artist (I got my masters from RISD), crafts person, and musician! This definitely comes into play when I'm hanging out with kids. It's pretty much a core belief of mine that everyone is creative in cool and unique ways, and that creativity needs to be nurtured in similarly unique ways specific to the individual. I'm definitely silly and fun, but also firm when it comes to things like safety and respect. Beyond teaching, I've been a nanny for families with whom I still have awesome relationships, a community organizer and nonprofit worker, and a cook in several bustling eateries, which is to say I have plenty of PATIENCE.
