December 31, 2014, My name is Donna, and I am writing today to recommend Latoya for employment. Latoya has been working for my family since the spring of 2013. Latoya's duties are quite diverse - from keeping my mother company to performing basic wound care between visiting nurse appointments to cooking meals to medication management to taking care of the dogs. My mother's house is quite large (6 bedrooms, 5 baths) and Latoya manages to keep it neat and clean at all times. We employ a housekeeper twice-weekly to handle the heavy cleaning, but daily maintenance is done by Latoya, and it is always to our standards. Latoya's is shy, but she is very sweet, easy to talk to and loves to laugh. She takes direction professionally, asking questions if she's not certain what needs to be done. But I think what I admire most about Latoya is her patience and willingness to always do the right thing. She is so patient. It amazes me to no end. My mother has late-stage Alzheimer's disease and her symptoms are quite significant: confusion, repetitiveness, medication and meal refusal, nighttime wandering, agitation, aggressiveness and verbal abusiveness. It is a difficult situation on the very best of days, but Latoya takes care of my mother with kindness and professionalism even when no-one else can. During Super-storm Sandy, she went far above and beyond to help the family, we were without power for two weeks and honestly, I think she saved my husband, brother and I from nervous breakdowns. I really could go on and on, but I'll stop here for now.
