About Esme

My name is Esme, and I have recently moved back to Dayton after having lived in Savannah, GA for the past two years. I have a BA from Antioch College where I self-designed a curriculum supporting a degree I entitled, "a Humanistic Exploration of Visual and Embodied Storytelling." I have cared for many children and adults in varying environments for just over 14 years; from day-camps to nannying, to working in multiple schools as a teacher's assistant and being a day-care teacher, an adult caregiver/aid to a disabled woman, as well as a first-fifth grade tutor in Math and English, specifically in preparation for MCAS standardized testing. I have held multiple professional positions, including teaching in a Waldorf-based school on Nantucket Island, a public school on the South side of Chicago, and one of the first democratically organized elementary schools in the country, in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
