About Erin

I have 2 summers of residential camp counselor experience with youth aged 5-17, a year and a half of residential group home experience with teenagers aged 13-18, 1+ year of experience as a lead kindergarten teacher with the Somerville Ymca, and Watertown Afterschool 6 months at a behavioral school for youth aged 11-17, and some further internships and babysitting experiences from younger years that add to a collective of about 4 years of experience working with youth aged 5-17, both with and without behavioral needs and social/emotional needs. I believe that my experiences with youth have developed me into a patient, empathic, flexible, resourceful, resilient, creative, and knows-how-to-be-silly person. When plans don't go according to plan, or youth are unpredictable, I have developed quick skills to re-direct, distract, or support a youth I am working with. I believe in the physical, mental, and emotional safety and well-being of the youth I work with. Email me for more!
