I graduated with my bachelor's degree in education from WSU and am a certified teacher (grades K-8) in the states of Washington and Nevada. Because of the economy, however, I have not been able to find a full time position with CCSD. Despite not having taught for two years, I have managed to maintain my passion for educating and have volunteered at a local middle school the past two years as a cheer leading coach and tutor. Several years ago, while attending school, I was a part-time nanny for a family with three children. I began with the family when the children were 2, 4, and 7 and worked with them for three years. I was in charge of everyday life with the children from the early morning wake-ups, to taking them and picking them up from school, helping with homework, planning educational activities during the summer, taking them to various extra curricular activities, and feeding. I have been working as a server since I have moved to Vegas, but I have missed working with and educating children on a deeper level that coaching does not provide. I would love to find a family that needs a loving, caring, responsible, educator for their children.
