*AVAILABLE FOR HOME SCHOOLING* flexible location: your house, my house (garage actually), public library or other shops I have 10+ years of experience as a teacher, youth mentor, & involved aunt since birth of 4 nieces. My favorite age is the newborn 0-18m, squishy potato stage, and 11-16 teen years. I'm all about wonder, curiosity & authentic shared experiences. I'm tidy. I enjoy tiding. So it's more like a fun hobby to tidy and organize with purpose and function. Same with errands & Laundry. The monotony feels structured for me and gives opportunities to listen to books more. So many of my friends despise errands. Especially the grocery store. But me - I love a solid errand routine. I thrive on efficient systems, establishing and improving them. Comfortable with all forms of life: people, pets, plants let me know if anything here sounds like a help for your needs! Life takes a community and I'm interested in supporting yours

I met Erin 13 years ago in 2010, and from the start she welcomed me as a friend and “sister“ (my husband and Erin are brother and sister, so Erin and I are sister-in-laws.) Always a joy to be around, Erin brings light, love and logic to every room and encounter into which she enters. In every interaction with her personally, or just in seeing her with others, she demonstrates great respect, personal interest, encouragement, and a positive disposition. Of course, being family allows me to see Erin through a special lens of love and means I am a proponent for her success, of course; in addition, it also means I’ve been with her during some of life’s fragile moments and times that others (outside of family) have not. It is during these times that Erin “shines”. Together and with our family, we’ve navigated caring for our loved ones during times of joy and sorrow (while still respecting the privacy of our family, I can share that these times included caring for loved ones while ill, experiencing difficult family loss, and supporting family members, of various ages, during difficult times of transition, both short term and long term.) During these times, Erin has acted as pillar of strength in the most amazing and loving ways, always taking that “extra step” or “one more moment” to make sure she does the best for those in her care. A personal note of this nature that i can share is in regards to my own “little family.” In April of 2020, the world was experiencing a time like another, with the outbreak of COVID-19 and quarantine as a new way of life. My husband and I were also experiencing a time unlike any other, a different kind, however - a time of joy - as we welcome to our first sweet little one into the world! As any new parent knows, welcoming a baby can be a time of overwhelming joy, among many other emotions! This was the case for us as well. My husband and I became a team as we worked together to navigate the world of parenthood, and figuring out anything, and everything needed to know to care for a new baby, including feeding, healing from childbirth, returning back to work (my husband does not receive leave time), and all of this during quarantine. That left me at home, completely alone (quarantining!) with our new baby, responsible for all her needs, and my own. That, on top of lack of sleep, was a great challenge! Seeing that I was reaching a breaking point, my husband reached out to his sister, Erin, and she was at our house the next day, without hesitation! For the next several weeks, which turned into months, she spent every day at our house, during whatever times I needed doing whatever was needed. She cared for the baby so I could sleep, and helped with cooking, cleaning, and whatever I might need that day. And she managed it all with ease! She was open to communication in whatever way works for me, whether that was through a text message for what was needed for the day before she arrived, or me, fumbling down the stairs tiredly, trying to remember and list what was needed. She took notice of additional things that might’ve slipped my mind, and always went above and beyond to leave our house better than she found it that day. She was patient, loving and attentive with our sweet little one. Since then, I’ve turned into a self-proclaimed “supermom”, but I will never forget those first sweet days, when Erin was my superhero, and swept in to my home each day, bringing peace of mine, with great ease! With her there, I could head upstairs to my bed to get some rest, and never had a second thought to leaving my brand new infant in her care. The following year, we welcomed another child, making us a family with the infamous “to under two“ combination! While I was more able to manage on my own, that time around, Erin was always there when needed, and continues to frequent our home to visit our little ones just for pleasure, and to provide care for them when my husband and I are in need of coverage for a night out or a day of appointments, or time out of town. (I’ll add one last fun fact… I am a parent who is cautious of leaving anyone with my children around water, such as a swimming activity, or allowing anyone else to drive them: but I have left Erin with my little ones several times while at the pool, or our family lake house, and she is the only other person besides, my husband or I that has ever driven our little ones anywhere! She is trustworthy, beyond a doubt, in my personal opinion.) It is without hesitation that I provide a “glowing positive review“ for Erin, and it is my hope that you and your own family have the privilege to welcome her into your home, get to know her and welcome her as a “member“ of your own family!
