About Erika

Hi! As a mother of 11 children all 18 years old and older, I have a love for learning and teaching. I homeschooled all 11of them except one with some going straight into college. Several have degrees from various, well-known Virginia institutions, and others are gainfully employed or business owners. I believe imparting a love of learning is important in childcare. Two of my adult children have Down syndrome, so I am very familiar with special needs children and non verbal communication. I'm also a grandmother of 4 children, one of whom lives with me, and she will soon be 9 years old. I am a Registered Nurse currently licensed with the state of Virginia and am looking to explore other opportunities in the area of caregiving. I love gardening, reading, classic movies and tend to be a homebody. I also love gentle pets and people.
