About Erica

Hello! My name is Erica. I first started working with kids when I was 12 by babysitting for family members. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelors in Early Childhood Education. After that I taught for the Rockford public school district preschool program for 16 years. I loved helping young children grow. Watching them try and try again and to see the excitement on their face when they figured it out brought so much joy to me. When I decided to leave teaching I got a job at Caravel Autism Health. I always enjoyed working with children on the spectrum/children with disabilities while teaching, I wanted to further my learning and experience. While there I became trained in ABA therapy and got my Registered Behavior Technician certificate. After 2 years, I decided to step away for the sole reason that my family needed better insurance. Actually I continued to work part time with Caravel after I accepted a new job as a Health Unit Coordinator. Erica
