About Erica

I currently have a Masters degree in Special Education and Childhood Education and have spent the past three years at a local special education school. I've taught grades K-4 in the past (~3 years) and currently work with 5th grade through 11th grade with several high needs students. I have hours of early childhood workshops, special education conferences, and professional development. I have lots of references available! I love arts and crafts, going for walks, swimming, going to local parks, playgroups, etc. To me, teaching and caring for children isn't just a job. It's always been a passion of mine. I love creating imaginative activities such as painting and arts and crafts projects. I enjoy reading with children and encouraging them to read and explore books. I try to build off of children's own interests. I also make it a point to incorporate outdoor play and imaginative play with younger children. I encourage children to be imaginative and have fun!
