About Epiphany

Hello! I'm Epiphany Sophia, a White, LGBTQ+ childcare worker with 7+ years of experience and a BA in Education and Community Cultural Studies. I've worked in schools and as a nanny with children ages 3 months to 18 years from diverse backgrounds. My caregiving is grounded in child development, with an emphasis on polyvagal theory and social-emotional learning. I support children in regulating their nervous systems, identifying and processing feelings, and expressing their natural interests through play. I center relationality, accountability, and liberation, encouraging connection, clear boundaries, imagination, autonomy, critical thinking, and confidence.
