Watching a student have a lightbulb moment, where everything clicks into place is what makes tutoring enjoyable for me. I have tutored children from age six to 16 in subjects from reading and mathematics to molecular genetics. I find it important when tutoring to not only grasp and explain the material in a way that works best for the student but to also provide study strategies and show applications for the material. I know that as a student if I can recognize why learning something is beneficial that gives me the motivation to keep going and I hope to use this method with your student as well.
