About Emma

Hi there! I have been a tutor for four years. I first worked as a private tutor one-on-one in Algebra, Spanish, Geometry and more, I was a tutor through the university in many subjects, including Writing, Politics, Spanish, and Community Studies. Once I graduated magna cum lauds from UCSC and with highest honors in my major, I was a TA in the Politics department at UCSC. I have experience working with kids in various capacities, all the way up to people who chose to go to college later in life. A lot of my experience is in teaching strong writing and reading and meta cognitive skills for all ages, as well as focusing on a relational and compassionate approach to learning.
