About Emma

Growing up, my experience with children started when I cared for my three younger siblings and as I grew older, I often was put in charge of them for a short period of time. Since I was a young teenager, I have regularly babysat children for multiple hours at a time, sometimes all day and into the night. I have worked for many families with children of all ages from newborn to 13. Since being in college, I have also gained a lot of experience in the classroom with children pre-k to 8th grade! When I am at school, I also work at an aftercare for a local school where I am in charge of 15-20 children at a time. Their ages range from pre-k to 8th grade and I am with them from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. I have grown to be very comfortable with my skills and have learned a lot about children of all ages and how to handle them, care for them, and be what they need in my education courses as an education major, in clinical and work experiences, and through babysitting when I was growing up!
