About Emma

Hello! My name is Emma & I am currently a NYS Teacher Candidate. At 16 years old, I began working at an elementary school's after school program. Since then, I have worked as a tutor, teacher assistant, nursery school volunteer, substitute teacher, and managed the staff at a camp for kindergarteners. I also have experience working with adults classified with an IDD and have experience with American Sign Language. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, Seizure Identification First Aid, and Youth Mental Health First Aid. I am entering my last semester of traditional classes before I begin to student teach full-time in the spring. Upon completion of my student teaching, I will receive my NYS Teaching License and graduate from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education with an Academic Concentration in English and a Minor in Deaf Studies. I am looking take some time off from the very (very) busy classroom or school setting and work closely with families 1:1.
