I graduated in May of 2014 with a B. A. in Theater and a minor in Sociology from Southwestern University. Over the years, I have found that my love for playing and creating and collaborating in the theater complimented my love for the skills in the childcare field. I love kids. While in Houston I worked for an after school education program, where I was a Site Coordinator for two years and then in my last year I was promoted to Program Liaison. Recently I have worked at two different Elementary Schools in the Burlington, Vermont area. The first was a Behavior Interventionists and then an Instructional Aid in the Special Ed Department. My last year in Burlington (prior to moving to Boston, then Nashville) I was Co-Director of the Room; focused on de-escalation techniques and social emotional learning for all K-8 students.

Emma was the star of our team. She is one of those people who has the uncanny ability to see what needs to be done before you do. Emma has the ability to command a room. Although petite, her presence is booming. All of the children flocked to her uplifting and motivational attitude. I was always comforted to know that I never had to check up behind her. I always have 20 plates spinning in the air and it is a huge relief when Emma can walk by and take 5 off my hands. Emma is always the first to show up and the last to leave. She has an amazing work ethic. She is well organized and detail oriented. I was sadden to see her leave, but I now have a friend for life.
