About Emma

I'd describe my personality as energetic, compassionate, and reliable. I like working with kids because they see the world in such a unique way and it is a privilege to be allowed to learn through their eyes. They never fail to make me laugh and their happiness is contagious. There are so many uncertainties in the world they are growing up in and I just hope I can be another supportive and safe person in their lives. Kids will ground you and remind you why life is so beautiful, and I am glad to be able to see and share that. I started working with kids in middle school when I would babysit the neighborhood kids. I went on to work at a summer camp where I worked from counselor to assistant director over the course of several years. I spent a year between high school and college doing a program called City Year, where I served in a 6th grade English classroom. In my spare time, I like to be outside whether it's at the beach, walking my dogs, or just sitting in my backyard.
