About Em Jay

I'd describe my personality as creative, compassionate, and versatile. I like working with kids because it's so fulfilling. The more they learn, the bigger the world becomes to them, and I love being a part of it. I'm looking for a job that allows me to be a source of fun and comfort in a child's life, while also being able to assist a family that needs an extra hand. I've worked with kids in varying capacities for many years off and on, as a babysitter and camp counsellor, but only started working with kids professionally last year as a substitute teacher. In my spare time, I like to cook and bake, write and draw, and go hiking! My skills include encouraging a balance of activities that prioritise real world play with screen time, working through big feelings, and homework help.
