I am a professional care provider in the Northern Virginia area. I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and completed some Early Childhood Education courses at the master's level. I have a large amount of babysitting, nannying, and pet care experience. I have a younger sister who has special needs, and therefore am experienced and prepared for all kinds of behavior. I am definitely an animal lover. I take my job very seriously and always give it my best. I am CPR and first aid certified because safety always come first, but having fun and engaging those I care for is also incredibly important to me! I am passionate about integrating learning into fun time. I enjoy coming up with stimulating developmentally appropriate activities to do with the children I care for. Pre-COVID I spent my free time on weekends teaching and managing childcare at church and volunteering at social activities for people with special needs. I am fully vaccinated and boosted.

Emily was an absolute godsend when she stepped in to help care for my 10-month-old twin boys. Even though the boys had never met her before, Emily knew just how to put them at ease - she didn't rush up to them but let them warm up to her while she played with some toys on the floor. Her patience and understanding of child development shone through. Overall, I was extremely impressed with Emily's level of experience and compassion when caring for my children. She went above and beyond and was a professional from start to finish. I highly recommend Emily to any family looking for an attentive, responsible and loving nanny.
