About Emily

It was my pleasure for the past four years to have Emily S. as a Hospital Teen Volunteer. Emily volunteered in the Snack Bar Departments and donated an amazing 387 hours of community service. As part of the Student Volunteer Team, she cheerfully accepted responsibility and completed all tasks of the job in an efficient manner. Her work as a volunteer was quite diversified. Some of her responsibilities included waiting on customers, running the cash register and training all new teen volunteers in the Snack Bar. Emily is extremely serious about the commitment she has made to the hospital, and the staff has commented on many occasions that she is very competent in the job she performs. She also relates very well with other Volunteers and Associates, and has demonstrated her leadership ability through her reliability and courteous manner in which she performs all tasks, no matter how large or menial. Our hospital is incredibly fortunate to have over 800 volunteers, 180 which are teenagers. Even among so many fine young people, Emily is exceptional. She is a fine young woman.
