About Emily

Hello! I'm Emily! I have several years of experience caring for kids. After college, I moved to New Zealand to be an au pair for a family with three children - ages 11, 9, and 7. I stayed with the family for a year, working approximately 40 hours/week as their au pair. I enjoyed it immensely - especially playing outside with the kids. I was responsible for school pick up/drop off, meal preparation, laundry, transportation to/from sporting practice and games, laundry, and grocery shopping, and any homework help. I lived in-home with the family. More recent experience has been casual, non paid caring for two family members ages 2 and 1. I love seeing their curious minds at work! Other childcare experiences range from babysitting cousins (ages 7-11) and for families at church (ages 4 -10) to leading classroom after school programs. I love being around kids and their infectious energy! I particularly enjoy spending time outside with kids and reading to them.
