Hi! My name is Emily and I am an aerospace engineer at SpaceX! I recently graduated from MIT with a bachelors in mechanical engineering and a minor in business analytics and Spanish. Though I love my job building rockets, I also love to teach! I have been tutoring since I was in high school in math, physics, and test prep. I have experience tutoring math at all levels (algebra up to multi variable calculus and statistics) and science. I also have experience as an SAT test prep tutor at Varsity Tutors for two years. My experience as engineer helps provide real world examples for why it is so important to understand what problems are actually asking and how to interpret the answers. Each problem is a fun new puzzle to put together and I have a passion for helping other people see that bigger picture.

Emily is amazing! She tutored my son through Honors Algebra II, Pre-Calculus and now AP Calculus. She is knowledgeable and patient and explained concepts in a way that made it easier for him to understand making him more confident in his math skills. I highly recommend her.
