Hi, I've been working with children for over 20 years now. In 2002, I started as a Preschool Teacher in Early Childhood Education and then went on to work with individual families as a nanny. I have worked with two families for a 5+ year period, multiple families I have helped care for the newborn along with the older sibling, and have experience working with children with special needs. My experience has help me acquire a well-rounded skill set to adapt to different situations, come up with creative problem solving, and be a positive thinker. The child of the family that I'm currently working with will be starting school full time and I will be looking for another family to join this summer. Emily has been a wonderful part of our family for the past four years since my son was 3 months old. She is kind, consistent, dependable, and very professional, yet loving and caring beyond belief. My son loves playing with her and she goes way above and beyond to make his days fun, active, educational, healthy, and safe. She supports our parenting choices and provides consistent discipline when needed. She is great at communicating, never oversteps personal boundaries (which is quite a feat for someone who is working in our home and so involved in our lives), and provides solid piece of mind, which is essential for two working parents. At the end of the day, I come home to a happy child who has had a fun filled and safe day, and even though I hate that it's not me, I know he was loved all day long. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. Emily makes me feel like a good mom and her sweet nature has positively affected our home and all our lives and we are so grateful for her!
