About Emily

Hello! I am a 28-year-old female originally from Cheshire, Connecticut. I recently moved from Seattle to New York City to pursue my Master of Social Work at Columbia University. I have a passion for working with children and am seeking opportunities to support my education while doing what I love. I started babysitting in eighth grade and continued until my graduation from the University of Toronto. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of caring for up to three kids at a time, ranging from 2 to 14 years old. Beyond babysitting, I have been a peer tutor, ballet instructor, dog owner, volunteer, and captain of my dance studio. While working at TD Bank and Sapere Consulting, I served as a mentor for younger colleagues. I have cared for my younger sister, who grew up with learning disabilities and a severe mental health illness, which instilled in me a deep sense of empathy, patience, and understanding.
