About Emily

I am a third year college student majoring in Middle Grade English Education to be a teacher! I am also minoring in Viola performance. I have volunteered at churches working with kids from grades K-5 on Sunday mornings for several years. I was a big for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. I worked at Kumon for quite a while helping students from k- 12 to excel and improve on reading and math skills in their academics. I have several years of experience with tutoring aside from the academic assistance position at Kumon. I taught Violin and Viola lessons all through high school and continue to teach while at college. I love kids so much, and when I am working with kids I feel so grateful to be someone they can look up to and trust. My love for working with adolescents is why I am working to be a teacher. A job like this is something I enjoy just as much!
