About Emily

I'd describe my personality as cheerful, thoughtful, responsible. I like working with kids because I love to nuture young minds and caring for kids allows me to connect with my inner child. I'm looking for a job that uses my abilities to care for kids and connect with families and that is flexible and allows me to support my school work (I am in grad school at FIT). I started working with kids when I was in undergrad at Pratt Institute. I was caring for kids of the faculty and alumni and I always loved offering my time to busy parents! In my spare time, I like to go upstate to hike, work on my art (illustration and printmaking), and cook (I love trying new healthy recipes!). One thing you should know about me is I am a great listener and am always looking for ways to understand the needs of the kids I care for. My skills include cooking healthy meals, keeping kids on top of homework, and finding fun ways to play that are not screen-time.
