About Emily

I'd describe my personality as calm, considerate, and imaginative. I like working with kids because they are not afraid to be themselves and find new knowledge exciting. I was blessed with two twin sisters when I was 8 years old. I have been giving care to children since I was a child! My first official job was when I was 15, babysitting for a newborn and 3 boys under the age of 7. Since then, I have spent time with many other families and graduated from the University of Kansas with my bachelor's degree in elementary education. This will be my fourth year teaching first grade. I am currently working on my master's degree in curriculum and instruction through Ottawa University. In my spare time, I like to be with my family and pets. I have two dogs, two cats, and four chickens. I enjoy being outside, cooking, and watching movies! My skills include lots of patience, compassion, and teaching!
