About Emily

Hi, my name is Emily and I think working with kids is one of the most rewarding things. I love helping to nurture a childs creativity and helping them connect with nature. I was fortunate to grow up with a dad who loved hiking, and catching snakes, lizards, frogs, etc, so ive been nature inclined since I could crawl! Ive worked at several youth summer camps, my most recent being in Colorado at an overnight western wilderness camp. I love to have dance parties with the kids and make sure they have a fun and safe time; I want them to see me as a big sister, someone they respect & look up to. I also am a writer, so I would be happy to help build upon that skill if needed or wanted. I think focusing on the arts is so important as it creates an amazing mode of expression that they may not verbally be ready for.
