So I worked for about a year in the kids ministry at Gateway. Looking back I have acquired skills from how to become almost kids like to evoke a sense of fun for the kids around me to being stern, disciplining bad behavior correctly. For example, I was corrected by the leader in authority to not just tell the kid no but to always explain the why, this really opened my eyes to the way that I interact with kids with bad behavior immensely. Honestly watching kids doesn't even feel like a chore. I'm thinking about becoming a biblical counselor for foster kids because of how much I've enjoyed the jobs involving the watching and care for young ones.
