Hi my name is Emily. I am currently a grad student, my classes are online, and I am studying clinical social work. I moved to Norfolk, Virginia, back in January, to live with my fiance who is in the Navy. I previously worked as a case manager and residential counselor for a foster care agency for children with severe mental health diagnoses and behavioral problems in New York. I am currently working as a substitute teacher for the Barry Robinson Center, but I am looking for full time work. I believe in a healthy balance of creativity, physical activity, and of course learning. I am fully able to aid children in school work, prepare meals, housekeeping, and transportation. I have experience with children of all ages and developmental stages.

Emily has been my son's full-time nanny for seven months and has been absolutely fantastic in every respect. As a first-time new mom, I was terrified at the thought of going back to work and entrusting my infant to a stranger for 40+ hours per week. Thankfully, Emily came into our lives and soon felt more like family than a stranger! I never write reviews (for anyone or anything, just not my style), but am making an exception in this case, because Emily is a superstar. She has been the perfect nanny-kind and loving towards my son, attentive to my requests, unfailingly punctual, and an all-around a joy to deal with. She has been a huge help to me as I navigate parenthood as a working mom, partnering with my husband and me to ensure our son is happy, healthy, and living his best life! He absolutely adores her and I am tearing up (yet again) thinking about how sad he will be when she moves in a few weeks! Bottom line-Hire Emily. Don't think twice. She is a superb nanny and human being, and if I could convince her not to move out-of-state and keep caring for my son until he goes to kindergarten, I would in a heartbeat!!!
