I am a university grad (Music Major, Psychology Minor) with over 7 years of experience as a nanny. I am seeking weeknight/weekend babysitting. I'm generally available from 4:30/5 p.m. until late night on weeknights and have day/night availability on weekends (looking more for nights tho). I have advanced level fluency in Spanish, and have successfully supported children to be bilingual (their parents were all English speakers). I enjoy sharing my love of music with the children with whom I work. I use a method which encourages even the youngest babies to participate at their own level in making music, and builds their skill and understanding as they grow. In addition to this I have used Montessori, Magda Gerber's Infant Educaring (RIE), sign language, baby yoga, baby massage and many other philosophies/methods to enhance the experience of the children for whom I care. I also enjoy working with parents to help them however I can to make parenting easier and more enjoyable.

I'm writing in reference to Emily L, who has been a nanny to our boy/girl twins for 3.5 years. I simply cannot say enough about Emily and what she's meant to our family. Emily has been a constant in our daily lives and remained a pillar of professionalism and patience that has kept us sane and thriving through the early years with twins and the added challenge of the COVID pandemic. Emily has a multitude of strengths. She's punctual, dependable, always calm, and extremely mature. Emily is committed to education and perhaps most impressively, Emily taught the twins Spanish. Over the 3.5 years Emily has been with us, they have become truly bilingual. Emily is a very kind and incredibly patient person yet can be firm and set boundaries when with the kids when she needs to. I would not hesitate to recommend Emily with the highest possible praise. She's like family to us now and we will forever be in her debt for all the wonderful ways she's helped us raise our children.
