About Emily

I am CPR/first aide certified, have a bachelors degree in Japanese from OSU, and masters credits in teaching English as a second language. I'm a former daycare teacher at a Montessori-aligned, state certified school working in various classrooms aged newborn to 5 years old. I have been a lead preschool teacher and a lead infant teacher, and love to scaffold children to their own personal next level of development through playful engagement. I'm able to teach baby sign and some ASL. I also speak Japanese and French, with basic fluency in Spanish and Italian. I worked in elementary schools throughout Indianapolis providing play-based social emotional learning for kindergarten through eighth grade, including running my own youth leadership program. I could potentially have my 2-year-old son with me as a playmate for your kiddo(s), if interested. He's a gentle, friendly child. I will have my infant daughter with me.
