About Emily

My name is Emily and I have been working in Children's Education for 8 years. I have tutored/ taught kiddos from 1-year-old to 9th grade. I specifically love teaching kiddos reading and writing, but also teach math, history and physical education. My degree is in Psychological sciences with a minor in developmental psychology specializing in ages prenatal to 18 years. My method is to find the way each child learns best. Every learns in very different ways. My challenge is to find out kinesthetically, visually, and auditorily where your child can best understand the topic. If that means being outside and acting out historical events, or learning addition with sidewalk chalk, or if it's just being inside quietly reading - comprehension checks can help determine how to best educate your child.
